The piece conveys the experiences I had when studying abroad in England, the U.S. and South Korea. I created this piece to convey people like me who strive to move forward and look for hope. In order to portray movement, I’ve bent the metal wires into a moving posture. The blue beads that are attached to the wire symbolize individuals who carry their own distinct culture and situation. By conjoining the running posture of the structure with the beads, the piece suggests the transference of culture, immigration and the pursuit for optimism.
