Boundaries are established between individuals, set borderlines that distinguish who and what we are. As an international student, I'd always been walking on eggshells. One of my experiences include owning a dog; "Why do people give noticeable looks when I walk my dog in public?" - Clearly, I had been questioned upon my culture's customs. No matter how well I spoke nor my length of residency, it was evident that discriminative attitudes had separated me from society. These acts do not confine to race - it further extends to subjects such as wealth, your social status, gender, career, religion or physical well-being. Regardless on how far you've succeeded in life, I aimed to depict how society categorizes us into a hierarchy that we can never cut across.
